Today was a bloody day on Wall Street, and the articles have started pouring in, admittedly it’s been a bloody month, quarter, and year, but finally the media is ready to start realizing there is that there is too much debt , not enough wages , no real profits , a new oil standard , overpriced assets , and too much inequality.

That’s a bit too much to take a for country that isn’t a democracy, is ignoring climate change, starting trade wars, and being run by sociopath.

Concentration of wealth yields concentration of power, particularly so as the cost of elections skyrockets, which forces the political parties into the pockets of major corporations. This political power quickly translates into legislation that increases the concentration of wealth, so fiscal policy like tax policy, deregulation, rules of corporate governance, and a whole variety of measures. Political measures designed to increase the concentration of wealth and power which in turn yields more political power to do the same thing, and that’s what we’ve been seeing.

The capitalist firm doesn’t aim to satisfy, but the firms can’t get at what they’re at, which is money, and they can’t get what they want without satisfying the customer.

Well, I agree with part of this argument, capitalist competition has to be acknowledged.

BUT, the argument also says that capitalism satisfies people, and I’m going to claim that the way the system uses technical progress generates widespread frustration, not satisfaction.

When I arrived to the United States in 2011 my friend told me he had been at the Occupy Wallstreet demonstrations the previous week, I thought he was crazy.

“We’re new to this Country dude, why would you go there and risk your Visa like that?” - Me

“I care about this sort of stuff dude, it’s important that we stand up for what’s right” - Him

Deep down I knew that he was right, but I was too scared of The Empire to do anything like that, instead for the next few years I put my head down, worked 9-6 in New York City, paid a tonne on Money on rent, and booze, and other things, and dealt with the crushing knowledge that I was making $100,000 a year, and someone was making a $1,000,000 or more off of my back.
